Paull Village Car Boot Sale

The last Car Boot Sale of the summer is Saturday October 5th 2013 at the Sports Field, Paull, 8am till noon

Make Paull a destination for your day out.  You can explore the local area, salt marsh, nature reserve,  Fort Paull, Views of the River Humber and the local riding school is just up the road. Bring some binoculars as there is plenty of wildlife to see.

When you have finished exploring –  the coffee shop within St Andrew church is open Saturday and Sunday 2 till 4pm, we serve the best ever cakes, a great cup of coffee or tea and have a toilet facility. We host the Paull Heritage Trail, NADFAS trail for children and have cd’s to listen to of the voices and stories of the last fishermen of Paull.  The coffee shop is staffed by our community volunteers who will give you a very warm welcome

Paull Village Church has wi-fi

wifiSt Andrew Church has Wi-Fi, HU12 8AX

A new community broadband is being arranged from St Andrew Church in Paull Village.  Using radio technology, the new service is able to provide a fast broadband connection independent of any telephone  line or mobile phone and is called the HUBB (HU12 community broadband)

Over a year ago , frustrated by the poor quality broadband available in Paull Village and surrounding rural area, a small group of volunteers with the help of Paull Taylor decided to try and set up their own broadband service.

The church now has a Wi-Fi connection and computers to hand so come a long in coffee shop time, Saturday and Sunday 2 till 4pm, March to October, you can get a great cup of coffee or tea and delicious cakes all while you are surfing the net

The new service is expected to cost £50 for an initial install of equipment and connection charge and then £25 per month by Direct Debit for the service of the HUBB

Little Saints

angel-in-the-house-940878-sWhen a child is baptised at St Andrew Church, Paull village, the parents and godparents make a promise before God that they will bring their child up in the Christian faith.  We understand that when you have a young family a church service and its time are not always convenient or encouraging for young children.

We have a Little Saints benefice group which is aimed at young pre- school children so they can start their journey of faith with you , and  the nurturing of  their Christian up bringing in away which is fun and relevant in  todays society.

Little Saints is bible based singing, story telling, prayers together, music and instruments for pre- school children and parents/guardian’s/carers

There are toys and juice for the children, a cuppa and a chat for grown-ups

It is held in the Church Room- Hedon (opposite Nippers at the back of the public car park, Magdalen Lane), Every Tuesdays from 2pm till 3pm, during term- time

Paull village church Media workshop

wifiSocial Media Surgery at St Andrew’s village church Paull, Hu12 8AX.  Saturday 21st September 2013 at 1pm

Free public access community broadband service.  Come along-bring your lap-top, phone, tablet or device and help us teach and learn

A social media surgery is an informal meet-up where people who know what they’re doing on the internet, can share their skills and knowledge with those who don’t know as much.  The idea of the ‘surgery’ is to be a hands- 0n, fun and friendly event.

If you are interested in Facebook, Twitter, photo and video sharing, blogging, phone apps or other aspects of the internet and social media- and want to find out more-then this is the event for you!

The coffee shop within the church opens at 2pm, you can also enjoy a great cup of tea or coffee and delicious cakes.

Paull Village Walking to Health

walking groupThe Paull Village Walking to Health Group which sets off from the village church are invited by the East Riding of Yorkshire to celebrate 10 years of walking.

On Monday 14th October 2013, 9.30am –12.30pm at Beverley Leisure Complex, Flemingate, Beverley, HU17 OLT

Paull Village Car Boot Sale,September 2013

Surprisingly after a bad weather forecast for  Saturday the sun was out,  and many of you can once again to sell and to buy.  A great morning was had by all and it was lovely to see some of you at the coffee shop within the church in the afternoon, after taking a walk along the river bank and nature reserve/saltmarsh. The coffee shop is open 2 till 4 every Saturday and Sunday,  we serve a great cup of tea or coffee and delicious cakes

St Andrew’s Church Registers

In August we had two baptisms at St Andrew Church-Jake Wilford and Lucie Webster. We hope their parents guide them through life on their Christian journey, may Jake’s and Lucy’s life be filled with love and peace.

Tickets £2.50 including supper

Hymns, thanks giving and sale of produce ( gifts of produce or items to sell would be gratefully received and can be left with Emma at the pub from noon onwards on the 7th October 2013).  Tickets from Emma at the Humber Tavern, Brenda Foreman, Joyce Wigg or the church during Coffee shop time which is Saturday and Sunday 2 till 4 pm where you can get a great cup of coffee and delicious cakes.
